(1924 Stuttgart – 2019 Würzburg) Four mythological scenes Dynamic figure compositions reduced to fine contour lines. Lessig, who attended Heiner Dikreiter’s drawing class in Würzburg from 1939 to 1940, worked intensively on stained glass window design, frescoes, wall paintings and mosaics in addition to painting and graphics. Ink/laid paper (partly watermark by Fabriano). Partially sign. and dated 1992-1994. One sheet inscribed “Ariadne on Naxos (/) Dionysus finds her”. 14.7-15.8cm x 20.8-24cm. Frame.
